Terms and conditions:

1. Employees, and their immediate families, of Maison de la France UK, Mercure, the Aix-en-Provence, Amiens, Angers, Avignon, Bordeaux, Dijon, Grenoble, Le Havre, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Metz, Montpellier, Mulhouse, Nancy, Nantes, Nice, Nimes, Reims, Rennes, Rouen, Saint-Etienne, Strasbourg, Toulouse and Versailles Tourist Boards and their agencies are not eligible to enter.

2. Entry procedure: You may enter by submitting your video (the “video”) together with a completed online registration. By submitting your video, you will be deemed to accept these terms and conditions.

3. You must submit your video entry online at www.1minutecityfilm.co.uk so it’ll need to be in a format suitable to upload (i.e. .mov, .mpeg…).

4. You are required to introduce the content of your video at its beginning.

5. Total running time for each video must be 60 seconds or less.

6. Each video must be clearly marked with the video title and name of the entrant’ + les subjects ‘Before you take part in the competition, decide which category best sums up your Top French Cities Film Festival entry/entries: Bon Appétit - So Cultural - Green in the City - Events – Shopping.

7. Please make sure that the video content is not defamatory. Defamatory videos will not be published. If your video includes footage of individuals, please make sure you have been obtained permission from all individuals to feature in the video before uploading your video on the website. Videos containing anything obviously intimate, private or taken without knowledge or consent will not be published.

8. You represent, warrant and agree that:
a) You are entitled to grant to Maison de la France UK the copyrights of the uploaded video for the website’s duration.
(b) No Content (or part thereof) submitted by you will: (i) be defamatory, abusive or offensive; (ii) infringe the copyright, moral right, performing rights, rights of privacy, trade mark or other proprietary right of any third party; (iii) constitute a misuse of any confidential information of a third party; (iv) advertise, promote or endorse any products or services; (v) be false or misleading or omit information that should be disclosed by you or (vi) contain software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to affect the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment;
(c) Any necessary consent, waiver, clearance, licence or approval required for Maison de la France UK to make use of the video as set out in the above licence has been obtained and that any fees or payments relating thereto have been paid; and
(d) You have not entered into, nor will you enter into, any agreement or arrangement which could conflict with your obligations to Maison de la France UK under these terms and conditions.

9. Your video must comply with the CAP (Non-broadcast) Code (see http://www.cap.org.uk/cap/codes/cap_code/).

10. You hereby indemnify Maison de la France UK against any claims arising out of or in connection with any video content, including but not limited to a claim arising out of or in connection with a breach of any of the warranties set out above.

11. Maison de la France UK reserves the right: (a) not to publish or distribute your video; (b) to remove your Content or any means of access to your video.

12. All videos will be moderated, and all complying videos will be published online within 72 hours of uploading on the website.

13. The closing date for receipt of entries is 12midnight on 31/10/2009. The winners will be notified on 17/11/2009 by e-mail.

14. Entries will be judged on their originality, creativity, and overall potentiality to engage viewers. Videos should show why your chosen Top French City is such a great place to visit for a holiday. At its sole discretion the jury shall select one sole participant as the overall winner of the competition on the basis of what, in its sole discretion, considers to be the best engaging and original content.

15. There will be two winners: one winner will be the author of the highest scoring video as voted by the public; the second winner will be selected by an independent jury composed of one representative of Maison de la France UK, one representative of the French Cities and three other members to be confirmed.

16. The promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

17. Maison de la France UK reserves the right to publish the username and county of the winners; the winners may be asked, but is not required, to take part in publicity.

18. Each winner will choose one prize among the following prizes available:

a. Avignon

“Discovering Avignon” for two people (courtesy of Avignon Tourist Board)
The prize includes:
- 1 night for 2 people in hotel Mercure*** (Mercure Cité or Mercure Pont)
- Breakfasts
- Guided tour of the city
- Entrance to the Popes’ Palace and the bridge
- Wine tasting at “La Bouteillerie du Palais des Papes”
- 1 dinner for 2 at the “Opera Café Restaurant”

b. Dijon

- 1 air-balloon flight of about 4 hours with 1h30 over Dijon (flights are early in the morning to avoid turbulences caused by the heat. A balloon can take up to 8 passengers on board)

c. Grenoble

Prize is valid from April to September 2009 and subject to availability at the time of booking.

d. Marseille

19. Winners will be responsible for passports, insurance and making the necessary health checks.

20. Entrants must be UK or Isle of Man residents, aged 18 or over.

21. No cash alternatives will be offered. No purchase necessary.

22. Entries for the competition must be received by the date stated. Maison de la France UK cannot accept any responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed or modified in transit.

23. We regret that we will not be able to return any entries.

24. The prizes are subject to availability. Neither the promoter nor its partners will be liable for any circumstances beyond their reasonable control that prevent a prize being taken up by a winner.

25. Any personal information collected may be used for marketing and research purposes by Maison de la France UK and may be passed on to third parties for these purposes. If you want your data to be passed on to third parties, please state clearly when you enter the competition by ticking the relevant boxes.

26. By entering this competition, entrants are agreeing to abide by these rules and any conditions.

27. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and in accordance with the laws of England and each party submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
