NANCY
Nancy is famous all over the world for the quality of its 3 magnificent Places Stanislas, Carrière and d’Alliance (18th C.) classed by UNESCO as part of our World Heritage.
Nancy has a number of superb museums and monuments built over the centuries, from the Middle Age to the 20th Century, including many fine examples of Art Nouveau.
Its famous bergamots and macaroons, quiches and Mirabelle plums are well known, but many other regional dishes are well worth discovering!

In brief, Nancy is a city that delights all who come here, whatever their age and interests: culture, our artistic and architectural heritage, urban and rural walks, museums, science, botany, gastronomy or just the quality of its life-style..
Nancy is 90 minutes from Paris and 50 minutes from Strasbourg, by TGV.

Majorelle exhibition, The modern art of fine living
2009 – May 2 to August 30: Poirel Galleries – Nancy
While Gallé was renown as the finest glassmaker in the Art Nouveau style, Louis Majorelle achieved a similar reputation for works in wood. The Ecole de Nancy Museum will retrace his adventurous creative career from 1880 to 1940 in the first retrospective exhibition to be devoted to him and his company within 150 works, including a number of previously unseen works. It will be on show in the Poirel Galleries in Nancy at the same time as the exhibition, “Emile Gallé, between Naturalism and Symbolism” at the Georges de la Tour County Museum in Vic-sur-Seille.
